18th - 19th August 2001. East Midlands: This was quite an iconic weekend for me. By now I had carved out a career for myself and was ready do things for myself again. It was the first time I had gone out with tunnels as my main reason for going. Previously, I'd always been 'in the area' so went to look at the local tunnels. John and I studied our lists (his more advanced than mine by now) and came up with an itinery. Draycott (aka Cheadle) was a baptism of fire and is very exciting (and photogenic) I highly recommend it! |
