The North portal remains (and is open) at the bottom of a deep cutting below Butterhouse Lane. The south portal is buried. Going up the hill along the lane there is a gate on the right about 100yds before the houses and the sharp right bend with a steep bit of grass next to it - this is the only parking close by unless you are lucky enough to find a space at the houses. Go down the hill following the last hedgerow before the houses, this brings you to the cutting above the tunnel mouth. Follow the cutting back for about 100yds until you can easily drop down and head for the tunnel...

There are stalactites inside a la Crown Street in Liverpool but not as long. You can scramble up the infill at the South end for a reasonable light-painting opportunity, even if you have forgotten your tripod as I had!
