| It's a very pleasant portal to approach in a pleasing cutting (the North portal remains, the other is under a housing estate). Wellies were necessary in the cutting on this wet December day but may not be in summer. |
It starts of dry with and clear. |
And stays dry and clear for a couple of hundred yards. |

| It then gets a bit moist. The floor is dry and solid but you might take a brolly! |
The portal under the housing estate has a pile of sloppy mud topped with solid concrete leading up to a manhole. There is a lot of moisture in the air here. |
