| One very poor photo of Well Heads west portal. It was almost dark (much darker than it looks) and I was squelching through six inches of bog. I decided to pack it in and come back another day. I took this shaky hand held zoom pic to see if I could pick out the portal when I got home. I couldn't! [Update - after my December 2009 visit, I can! What looks like a pile of junk at the end of the cutting is actually the back of the boards that were wedged into this end of the tunnel in (I believe) the 1980's. As you can see in the 2009 pic there is a gap inthe boards so access is possible here.] |
